Cinema Botanica & Taste Wild

It’s a botanical movie night not to be missed! CalBG’s nature themed movie experiences (Cinema Botanica) and native plant food offerings (Taste Wild) come together for one special evening. Join us for a outdoor movie screening in the Forest Pavilion with delicious native plant inspired snacks and drinks.

This summer’s featured film is Song of the Sea: a fantastical animated tale featuring the magical connections between humans and the natural world. Captivating for all ages, this film follows the adventures of Ben and his little sister Saoirse – the last Seal-child – who embark on a fantastic journey across a fading world of ancient legend and magic in an attempt to return to their home by the sea. The film takes inspiration from the mythological Selkies of Irish folklore, who live as seals in the sea but become humans on land.

Every ticket holder receives popcorn with a native plant flavored topping, plus the option to purchase drinks and native plant flavored sweet treats.

Doors open at 7 PM for food and activities, movie starts at 8 PM. Seating provided (folding/plastic chairs) or bring your own comfy camp chairs.
