Events In Claremont
Looking for the best events near the Inland Empire or San Gabriel Valley this weekend? Just 30 miles from Los Angeles, Claremont is your go-to spot for arts, music, food, and outdoor fun.
From Friday Nights Live and the First Saturday Art Walk to California Botanic Garden programs, Village Venture in October, and the weekly Sunday Farmers & Artisans Market, there’s always something worth the trip.
Make it more than a day trip: Book an overnight stay at one of our local hotels, wake up to brunch, browse boutique shops, and explore local museums and scenic trails. Whether you’re coming from L.A., Ventura, or Riverside, Claremont’s events pair perfectly with a weekend getaway.

Run for Fun Monthly Meetup at California Botanic Garden
The Run for Fun Meetup has moved to a new time! Now scheduled for select Sunday mornings each month.
Running is usually not allowed in the Garden, but we’re making an exception! Join CalBG staff for a monthly group running meetup on the Communities Loop Trail. We’ll meet at the Outdoor Classroom to stretch and warm up before heading out for a run through the different plant communities of California. All levels and paces are welcome, rain or shine (barring extreme weather conditions).
The Run for Fun Monthly Meet Up group is free with garden admission. We welcome walk-ins, but you can help us plan by RSVPing ahead of time. If you need to purchase a garden admission ticket, click here.
Important Notes:
Run for Fun start time will change throughout the year, so please check each month's web page before attending.
Running at CalBG is only allowed on the Communities Loop Trail while participating in the Run for Fun Meetup. Please do not run to or from the Meetup location or while otherwise enjoying the Garden.
