ClaremontVID_Wallop-2015_C22Looking for something entertaining to do near the Inland Empire this weekend? Claremont welcomes out-of-town visitors and Southern California locals to enjoy our arts, music and outdoor events. From Friday Nights Live to the Midsummer Shakespeare Festival, our calendar is chock full of rousing events and annual festivals.

There’s something fun to do for everyone. The weekly Claremont Farmers and Artisans Market every Sunday is the largest of its kind in the region. For arts and crafts lovers, there’s the monthly First Saturday Art Walk and the Village Venture Arts & Crafts Faire in October.

Families flock to events such as Things That Go Bump in the Night at California Botanic Garden in October and Inland Pacific Ballet’s The Nutcracker in December. And nature enthusiasts can celebrate and discover the beauty of various native plants at the Annual Wild Flower Show and Festival in April and other botanic garden events.

Bird & Butterfly Garden Grand Opening

California Botanic Garden |
1500 N. College Ave, Claremont |
Bird & Butterfly Garden Grand Opening |
Saturday June 22 | 11am – 5 pm |
CalBG’s new Bird and Butterfly Garden was created out of the destruction from an enormous windstorm in January 2022. Over the past year, a tangle of damaged vegetation has been transformed into a lush new Garden area dedicated to the intertwined relationships between California’s native plants and the animals that live amongst them. With interpretive signage, shady sitting areas, and the flexible Outdoor Classroom space right next door, the Bird and Butterfly Garden will provide year-round opportunities for celebrating plant and animal interactions. The celebration kicks off with our Grand Opening Weekend on June 22 & 23, 2024! |
All Grand Opening Weekend activities are free with admission to the Garden. |
