Sticky monkey flower (Diplacus aurantiacus) is a lovely small shrub whose name comes from the sticky resin coating its leaves and its delicate flowers whose shape is said to resemble a laughing monkey's face. While sticky monkey flower blooms are most commonly orange in their scrub/chaparral habitat, there are many cultivars available for gardens which feature a rainbow of colors and patterns.
Several varieties of sticky monkey flower are also still available at the Grow Native Nursery.
